Democracy in the Park 2020
Allegheny County designated the North Park Ice Rink as an official drop box location during two weekends leading up to the 2020 presidential election. People were eager to vote, with lines stretching to both roads leading to the rink.
Pine Dems work with neighboring committees to set up booths with activities for kids, snacks and water, candidate swag, and photo opportunities. It was uplifting and energizing for everyone who worked the booths. State Sen. Lindsey Williams and State Rep. Malcolm Kenyatta showing up was the icing on the cake!
