Our Mission

The Pine Democratic Committee will promote the increased political activity and influence of Democrats in local, state and national government, with our primary focus being Pine Township. We aim to accomplish this by connecting with and registering Democrats in Pine; by educating our members and the community on pertinent civic and political issues; by encouraging Democrats to vote in every election; and by supporting Democratic candidates at all levels of government.

Ours is the party of inclusion, and our doors are open to everyone. Our goals are to achieve a committee and governments that are based on democracy, integrity, transparency, humanity and justice for all.

What We Do

  • Promote democracy by registering voters, keeping an eye on our electoral system, and protecting voting rights and election results

  • Educate voters about candidates, ballot initiatives, and issues through mailings, social media, and our email newsletter

  • Inform new Pine residents about voter registration, polling places and elected officials through mailed welcome packets

  • Provide support and guidance for local candidates

  • Build community through service projects and events

  • Maintain a public presence in Pine Township through Election Day tabling outside precincts and other actions

  • Collaborate with committees in nearby townships to promote democracy, share ideas, support each other, and work together to get out the vote for Democrats at all levels
